First Birthday Invitation - Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge

Hello - a couple of years ago I found Sweet Treats at Michaels on Clearance - I debated getting it and I am so glad I did - I have used the shaped cards feature on this cartridge several times.  It's just a really fun cartridge.  My sister's beautiful little girl is turning 1 in a couple of weeks so we made these cute invitations for her party.  They were super easy and we made abut 20 of them in about 1 1/2 hours one evening.  The cardstock all came from Hollos PaperCraft.  If you are a paper crafter and live in NE Ohio it's well worth the trip.  They carry many different shades of cardstock and sell it by the pound - it was $1.25/lb.  They also have terriffic prices on envelopes in all kinds of colors.  They seem to start at $ .04 each and go up to around $ .06 for most normal envelopes in the standard sizes.  I live about an hour away and make a trip at least once a year to stock up.

The theme for Priscilla's party is Sweet Shoppe Polka Dot so this cupcake was just right!  We just cut out the cards and assembled, used some ribbon and embossed the "1" with a polka dot embossing folder.  We added a little Crystal Stickles to the swirl and we were done.

I'm gong to post this project on the following sites:
