Simple Embossed Thank You Card

Hello!  I needed to make a bunch of really quick thank you cards so I wanted something really simple.  I got this Darice embossing folder at Pat Catan's for $2.50!  What a great deal!  It makes thank you cards super fast and easy.  I just embossed some purple cardstock, inked it some with dark blue ink, glued it to a plain white card and added a Prima flower and a little gem.  Easy Peasy!  I made 10 of them in well under an hour.

Thank You Card - Distress Ink Background

Hi!  I hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day Weekend!

This is another card I made for the card party that I will be hosting next month.  This is a fun technique for a pretty background!  I stamped a large background stamp using white acrylic paint, then I used Distress Inks on the entire thing - the acrylic paint works as a resist so the stamped image shows through.  The Distress Inks used were Wild Honey, Old Paper, Tumbled Glass and Broken China.  I stamped a portion of the same background stamp again using Broken China and then inked over it with the Old Paper for the popped up butterfly.  Then I stamped "Thank You" using a Stampin' Up stamp, added some ribbon and matted it on white card stock and then a turquoise card.

Baby Bib Card

Hi!  I am a huge Pinterest fan and I have seen a few baby bib shaped cards lately and wanted to give it a try.  I used my Cricut Gypsy with the Storybook cartridge to create this card.  The bg card stock is Coredinations that is already embossed.  The Duck is a Stampin' Up stamp.  I didn't have a button that matched so I colored one with a Sharpie.  I am going to make a green version of this card as well and this will be one of the cards for the card party I will be having soon.

Kraft Gift Bag - Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Hello!  Here is another item for the card party I am going to be hosting.  I wanted to give everyone a chance to use my Cricut so they will be cutting these out themselves.  For most of the projects I have pre-cut everything to save time.  I used the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge from Close To My Heart for the bag and the rolled flower.  I used a large flat backed pearl for the flower center.  The border stamp is also from CTMH.  The ribbon is a double sided satin ribbon I got from Joann's.

Memorial Day Flower - Cricut Flower Shoppe Cartridge

Hello!  My Mom volunteers at a local adult daycare, she goes in and does crafts.  She usually asks me to help her come up with craft ideas that are fairly simple to do and something adults will hopefully appreciate making and having.  This is a project that we did for Memorial Day.  I used the Cricut Flower Shoppe Cartridge to cut out the flowers using Die Cuts With a View papers and colored card stock.  We bought 4" terracotta pots and painted them, used floral foam in the pots and a dowel for the stem.  Then we used curling ribbon to fill the top of the pot and tie around the dowel.  I think it turned out pretty cute!
