I am getting very excited - my family is going to Disney World next week! It will be the first time for my kids and I hope they have a very magical time. My two daughters are Reagan (8) and Lauren (5). My son Spencer is just 1 - so this trip is mostly for the girls. I made them these little memory books to take along and get autographs in, then they can add photos when we get home. I used my Your Story binder with cardstock and made my own covers using a hot glue gun. I had watched several tutorials on how to do this and am happy to say that it worked beautifully! I am really excited at the endless possibilities being able to bind my own books without buying the covers opens up. Anyway - here are their books:
Lauren is my girly girl - pink and princesses all the way for her! I used my Cuttlebug for the princess dies with embossing. I used the Mickey and Friends Font for the Mickey ears and the lettering. I embossed Lauren's name with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and. The patterned paper is from a Disney princess stack I got at Joann's. I used my hot glue gun to glue a strip of elastic to the top for the pen before I added the paper to the front. Then I sprayed the whole front cover with sparkle spray for - it doesn't show up in the picture but it looks pretty.
Reagan is not nearly as girly as Lauren and her favorite color (right now) is red so I went with the traditional Disney characters and colors for her book. I used some dimensional stickers for the characters and all of the cuts are from the Mickey and Friends Font cartridge. I used Aileen's glossy accents on the letters for her name and Stickles on Disney. I also sprayed the whole front cover with glimmer spray at the end.
