Mother and Baby Card

Hi - I just love this sweet digi stamp from Tiddly Inks and have been wanting to make a card using it.  I just found out someone close to me is pregnant so I thought this would be a nice card for her.

The image is colored with Copic markers.  I cut the scalloped circles with my Cricut and the Sweet Treats cartridge.  I used Hug Snug Seam Binding for the bow, it looks really white in the picture but it is actually more cream.  I think I made the bow a little too big :).  The flower is Prima and the pearls are from Way2Scrap.  The patterned papers for the background are Me & My Big Ideas and the strip is Making Memories.  I inked everything with Vintage Paper Distress Ink.

I used Tsukineko shimmer spritz on the whole card - I love the coverage you get from this spritz, it's very sparkly.

Here is a close up - you can see the sparkle a little better.

I love this quote from Charles Dickens - it's so sweet.

Cupcake Card using Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge

Hello!  I found the Sweet Treats Cricut Cartridge on clearance for $19 at Michaels this weekend so I was playing with it this morning.  I love the card feature on this cartridge, shaped cards are so much fun!  The cupcake was cut at 5".  The flower was cut from Sweet Treats at 3/4".  The little charm shape was cut from Doodlecharms at 1 3/4".  I added Crystal Stickles to everything green and a little black pearl from Queen & Co. to the flower.  I embossed the top of the cupcake with the Divine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder and inked it with a dark blue.

First Day of School - lots of homemade flowers!

Here is a scrapbook page I made for my little girl's first day of school.  Sadly this was almost 2 years ago and I am just now scrapping it!  I am so far behind!

The patterned papers I used are from Scrappy Cat.  I used the Locker Talk cartridge for the title, Accent Essentials cartridge for the scalloped circle I wrote the journaling on, George and Basic Shapes was used for circles of various sizes for the stacked circle flower.  The flower by itself on the upper right was made using various scalloped circle punches.  I had a lot of fun experimenting with a lot of different homemade flower techniques for this layout.

This flower was made using various scalloped circle punches and a lot of crumpling.

Side view of flower - it has a ton of layers.
