Mini Gift Bag - Tags Bags Boxes and More Cricut Cartridge

Here is a cute little gift bag I made using the Cricut Tags Bags Boxes and More Cartridge - this is such a fun cartridge!  I cut the bag using the "fit to page" function to get it the largest it would cut out on a 12 x 12 mat.  The flower is also from the TBB&M Cartridge.  After I put the bag together I gave it a few sprays of Tsukineko Shimmer Spray to make it sparkly.  I have no idea what the ribbon stuff I used is - I got it in a clearance grab bag a while back - I thought it made a pretty bow though!

Here is a close-up of the flower, you can see the sparkles a bit better in this picture.

I am going to enter this in the Birthday Sundaes Special Birthday Challenge!

All Dressed Up!

I am very fortunate to have a husband that is a great photographer - don't our hobbies go well together?  Since this past weekend was Easter he took some pictures of our kids for me.  Spencer (the baby) wasn't really into it but we still managed to get some pretty cute shots!

Flower Card with Copic Markers and Butterfly from Paisley Cricut Cartridge

Hi!  I got my very first Copic markers this week - they are so much fun to play with.  I wanted something simple to color to practice with so I made a digital flower stamp and colored it - then I made this card with it.  I am also posting the digital stamp here for free.

The patterned papers are My Minds Eye, the butterfly is from the Paisley Cricut Cartridge, I embossed it with Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel - the way I dipped it into the embossing stamp pad made the embossing powder go on sort of spotty - I kinda like the way it turned out.  The sentiment stamp is from an old Inque Boutique set called Aging Gracefully.

Here is a close up of the butterfly:

And here is the free digital flower stamp:

Masculine Birthday Card using Christmas Cheer Cricut Cart

Hello!  This is another card that I made for the card party I am hosting in a few weeks.  I want a good variety so I wanted to include a masculine birthday card.  I am pretty happy with the way this one turned out.

I used a dark gray cardstock for the base - it's an A2 sized card, which is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".  Then I took a piece of black cardstock 5 1/4" x 4" and embossed it with my Cuttlebug using the diamond plate embossing folder, then I inked it with silver ink to make the embossing pop.  The circle with the star in the middle is from Christmas Cheer cut at 3 1/4" and the silver circle behind it is 3 1/2".  The black star is just the center from the circle inked with silver ink.  The little silver star is a brad - I didn't have a silver brad so I embossed a gold one.  The sentiment is also embossed with silver embossing powder and the stamp I used is from Stampin' Up.

This card was entered in the Anything Goes Birthday Card Challenge at Birthday Sundaes:

Branch and Flowers Card - Cricut Wild Card Cartridge

I love this card from the Cricut Wild Cards cartridge - it's pretty before you even do anything to it!  I cut the card and the branch from Wild Cards at 3.75".  The little flowers are Primas and I honestly don't know where the patterned paper came from - I have had it forever!  I used Cinnamon Stickles for the centers of the flowers and inked the edges of everything with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut Stain.

Alien Card

I wanted to have a variety of cards and themes for the card party so I thought this would make a fun little boy birthday card.  The alien is cut from the Cricut cartridge Boys will be Boys.  I love this cartridge - it has all sorts of great boy cuts and it is really easy to use and layer.

  • Alien is embossed with Cuttlebut Mosaic embossing folder

Flower Card

Hi - I am excited to be doing my very first blog post!  This is a card that I created for a card making party I am going to be hosting at my home in a few weeks.  As part of a fund raiser for my kid's school each guest paid to come to my home and make 20 cards - I am doing ten designs and they will make two of each one.  I really hope that everyone has fun!  I got the idea to emboss the blue part and color in the flowers from a layout I saw at Archivers.  Let me know what you think!

Card Recipe:
  • Hero Arts Silhouette Flowers Cling Stamp
  • Zing Embossing Powder in Denim
  • Pebbles Inc. Chalks
  • White Cardstock
  • Blue Cardstock
  • Navy Organza Ribbon
  • Pink Skittles (these are the mini ones - I bought them clear at Pat Catan's and dyed them pink with alcohol inks).
